Any behavior which is considered offensive, abusive, rude, malicious or unreasonable should be reported. Hate speech of any kind towards anyone is not acceptable.

No spreading hate

We will remove any content that promotes discrimination against people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental health. We will also remove content that encourages or promotes self-destructive behaviors, self-harm, or suicide.

Trolling is not permitted

We all like a joke from time to time but it's not fun at someone else's expense.

Respect people's wishes

If a conversation brings up a topic they do not wish to talk about, please stop talking about it. This includes but is not limited to politics, religious topics and 'trigger' content.

Do not share personal details

Such as phone number, address or social media usernames under any circumstances. Other usernames may be shared for services such as steam or reddit, but please be aware we cannot externally moderate outside conversations.

Do not post photographs

Of your self or other people. To help keep anonymity, we ask nobody posts photographs of anyone as a main subject.

Do not give medical advice

Under any circumstances, all medical advice should come from the physician of the person seeking advice. Even if you are a medical professional, we cannot allow you to give medical based advice.

This is not a dating app

It should not be used to pursue romantic relationships.

No spam

We do not mind what you post, as long as it adheres to the rules, you keep discussion to the topic, and it is not spam. Spam is defined as frequent and repetitive posts.

No Ads

Do not use a topic to promote any product or service. Topics should only be prompts for meaningful conversations.

Be over 18 years of age

All users of Confidist must be over 18 years of age. Please report any cases of minors or suspected minors immediately. This is for the protection of the users and is in breach of our terms of service. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Create a topic

After registering and joining a community, navigate to the community homepage and look for the text box at the top of the page. Describe a meaningful topic for conversation, and when you are ready hit the "Host" button. Someone from the community will have the opportunity to join your topic for a 1 on 1 conversation. If you have confirmed your email, check your inbox for a notification when your conversation has started. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Join a conversation

After registering and joining a community, navigate to the community homepage and select "Search" to get started. Find an available topic and select "Accept" to complete this action. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Complete a conversation

After joining a conversation as either the topic creator or through match making, you will be able to complete a conversation by selecting the "End Conversation" button inside the conversation page, and then completing the rating. Ratings are used to prevent abuse and are confidential. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Join a conversation with 5 common attributes

After registering and joining a community, navigate to the community homepage and select either "Host", or "Join" a topic to start a conversation. For this goal, it is easier if you select "Join" on a topic that is already being hosted by another person. Accept a match with 5 or more common attributes as shown inside the search match result to complete this action. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Complete an event survey

Take your time and go through the event before completing the event survey. However, if you simply don't have the time and want to voice your opinions early please go ahead. The event survey will be shown once the event is active and will be highlighted in green on the main event community page. Please remember to complete each field before submitting. Join a conversation with a unique person

A unique conversation simply means having a conversation with a different person for the current event. If you have had a conversation with someone in a previous event, it will still be counted. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns by emailing info@confidist.com :) Thanks!

Invite a user to join the Confidist Community

After registering and joining a community, navigate to the community homepage and select "Invite to Community". Copy the provided link and ensure your friend clicks on that link before joining. You will complete this goal once they complete registration. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Join a conversation with a person from another country

After registering and joining a community, navigate to the community homepage and select either "Host" or "Join" a topic to start a conversation. Participate in a conversation with a user from another country to complete this goal. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Type a hidden phrase while in a conversation

After joining a conversation type a certain hidden phrase to complete this action. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Defeat the current chess champion

Join a conversation with the current chess champion challenge them to a game of chess and win to complete this goal. Please email info@confidist.com with any questions!

Username Help

This name will sometimes be shown to others on our site. Please be conscious to not make this personally identifiable if that is your preference.

Profile Attributes Help

Add more profile attributes by navigating to the user menu found at the top right hand side of your screen. Select the profile attributes button and then edit to update. Please send an email to info@confidist.com if you have any questions.

Topic Help

Create a new topic for conversation by describing a topic in the text box and selecting the "Host" button.
The "Join" button matches you with the next available host for a conversation on the shown topic.
The "Host" button under the topic listing allows users to create a copy of the topic shown.
The "Share" button will allow you to share a link to the given topic for conversation.
Creating a topic within your Orbit (by first selecting the Orbit icon) will limit participates to that group.
Direct conversations are available when selecting a profile within your Orbit and creating a topic.
You may only create a limited number of topics at a time per community.

In Confidist, tokens are a basic currency. See the + and - indicators next to the token icon to understand if that action will have a token cost or reward. For example, creating a new topic for conversation may cost 1 token, and completing a conversation that you joined may reward you 1 token.
